Back in 2018, the government of Australia implemented new emissions standards for spark-ignition engines. These were initially intended to reduce the importation of outdoor power equipment that made use of such engines and released greenhouse gases.
Starting this year, however, the implementation will now advance to further restrict the supply of non-compliant equipment. From the 1st of July 2020, importers must ensure that their cargo are qualified to be emission-controlled products.
